Have a look at the Pent map in G:CotHW and find 'Pent Hills'. This is the same range IMO.

The standard explanation for when a Hill goes missing is that the Dragon that was sleeping under it woke up and moved on. This is really a 'Just So' story which may or may not be true. Frex, Elder Secrets cites the Tobros Mountains of Dorastor as an example of a Dragon sleeping under the hill whereas the entity beneath it is actually Tobros the Giant poisoned long ago by Bagog.

Of course Argrath's Saga does mention the Seven Dragons...
