How about placing a particularly honoured dead at the foci of a large parabolic golden pit - ie an inverted sky dome (yes I know that the typical dome is hemispherical), and then have the priesthood summon several sunspears. The decieced might thus be transformed into a blinding holy light, and immediately transported into the presence of Yelmalio.
