Hasni:
"At one point, each of the seven mommies were a subcult of "the Seven Mothers", but as they
grow in strength they will be worshiped less togethor, and more as independent cults."

Try this instead: The pantheon of the Lunar heartlands is large and varied, consisting of ancient dieties, newly discovered aspects of ancient deities, local spirits, deified human heroes, and complicated trancendental philosophies. The "Seven Mothers" cult is a recent administrative unification of several small Lunar hero cults, designed to appeal to storm-barbarian peoples. This religious conglomeration was modeled on the storm-barbarian myth of the Seven Lightbringers, and it was hoped that this cult would help pacify the barbarians and help administer occupied territories. It is a very small cult, common only in the barbarian provinces.

In the Heartlands, folk usually worship their ancestral, community, or occupational deities. The Seven Mothers are ancestral only to the Red Moon and the Red Emperor. They are the occupational deities only of missionaries. But certain deites of the Seven Mothers group, like Yanafal Tarnils, Danfive Xaron, Deezola and Irrippi Ontor, are worsipped  in the Heartlands specifically for the blessings they bestow.

Does that fit in your Glorantha?

Peter Metcalfe:
>The People of Alkoth claim that it was their god, Shargash, who cast the Moon
down from the Sky. This is only given credence by serious scholars, when through personal misfortune, they happen to be in the same room as a citizen of Alkoth.

LOL! Very true!
