Shannon "The Opti Mystic" Appel has a Hero Wars prophesy:
> I suspect 1999 will really be it.

Call me a credulous fool, but I'm tempted to believe it. Rationale: when Chaosium make an annoucement about a release date, they might not keep it, but the precision with which they make the estimate gives us some idea on what scale the overrun is likely to be on. For example, when they said "1998", I _knew_ they'd be "years" late; now that the estimate is "Spring 1999", I expect them to be merely seasons late. Likewise, when Greg said the share issue would happen in 5 weeks time, I expected the lateness to be quantifiable in mere weeks. I'm sure I have these predictions is Sealed Envelopes someplace, lest anyone question _my_ repute as a Seer.

[Oh, lots of ;-), BTW.]

Not nearly so appropriate, however, given the Cyclic Natures of both the above. Perhaps "a dead Humakti" would lend something of the right flavour -- though come to that, "dead Humakti duck" _does_ have a nice redundancy to it...

Or given that Avalon Hill is profaning its corpse, perhaps "Z. Zorani zombie" is getting closer yet?

Slainte,
Alex.
