>I've been playing around with mini wargaming in a Glorantha setting, and
was wondering what rules others have used (several events have been run at
cons, so there must be some wargaming out there)=2E I've been using
Warhamster, but it seems a little clumsy for 1:1 scale=2E Any comments? I've
played a little DBA/DBR recently (I usually play 1912-45), and it seems
nice -- is De Bellis Fantasticus adaptable for Glorantha? Fantasy Rules?
Chronopia?

Actually "DBF" is called Hordes of the Things=2E And yes is is adaptable to Glorantha if you accept the view that Dragon Pass is not the definitive word on the combat capabilities of Gloranthan troop types=2E
A few amendments are needed but these are mainly in terms of omitting the odd troop type and adding a few in from DBA for example the omission:
I don't think there's any place for Clerics in Glorantha - in terms of their=20=
role
in HOTT - they tend to damp the effects of magic and can drive off pagan
gods=2E Despite the resemblances I think Western Wizards are better
classed as Magicians=2E Not sure about Paladins either=2E
=2E=2E=2Eand a few additions:
HOTT doesn't distinguish between Spears and Pikes=2E I feel that if you have Sun Dome Templars involved in your battle you should lift the Pike unit type from DBA to represent them=2E
HOTT also lacks the DBA Psiloi type which I always feel is useful for younger Sartarite slingers and rock throwers and perhaps Ducks=2E
Perhaps Lunar peltasts would enjoy the Auxilia troop type too=2E
Hordes of the Things magic is pretty generic - in line with with the DBA philosophy of concentrating on the effects rather than the process - it treats magicians as a kind of mobile, long range artillery with a few special characteristics=2E I'm working on a spell list which brings a bit more Gloranthan flavour to this aspect of the rules=2E
I anyone wants I could post my suggested troop type listings for the obvious Gloranthan armies under HOTT=2E
