I have asked/told Greg this question over the last several years at DunDraCon (my isn't access to the big names in RQ gaming wonderful.) My premise is that it should be pronounced Genetalia, regardless of how it seems to be spelled. Plus if you ask any of the Lhankor Mhy scholars in Boldhome, their maps of the continent that reach all the way to the Mirror Sea clearly show a package hanging down off the continent.
