It's quite obvious that all the Praxian stuff written (unless specifically Morocanth based) has a sever Human spin. Morocanth would view themselves as superior: they didn't cheat and they still beat their humans. All the other humans had to cheat to beat the four-legs. The pity spiel is obviously human propaganda - Aw, poor ickle Morocanth. Your so crap Eritha took pity on you and let you have thumbs.

As the master-race of Prax, Morocanth are already the best. With thumbs they are even better. Only a Morocanth who can HeroQuest to Eritha and prove his superiority as a specimen would be worthy of this boon.

There is little place for pity on the planes of Prax, Eritha has got to be the hard nut amongst the non-malign earth goddesses.

Herd men don't need them, they can either groom each other, or pull out a small bush or similar and swish themselves and each other.

As they have INT 7 (to use BoDR: Prax stats) they are as intelligent as Chimps and Gorillas and brighter than normal baboons (INT 6). With this level of intelligence they could certainly use tools in their wild state and would probably have a troop based social order similar to that of baboons, chimps or gorillas, where a lot of grooming goes on.

Excellent, just don't make the Morocanth grovel :-)
