Soldiers and heroes

Why would you want a good 'unarmed' fighter?

Many heroes would subscribe to the Indiana Jones style of swordplay - let your opponent do fancy tricks with his scimitar, then pull out a revolver and shoot him. The best fighters use whatever works.
