Shargash, Zorak Zoran, Umath, Tolat and Orlanth are all the same, for some sufficiently God Learnerishly broad definition of 'the same'. As for Shargash being a death god who lives in the Underworld, consider that Umath died, the Shargashi claim that Shargash travelled to hell and returned (hey, just like Orlanth), but 'travelling to the Underworld' can be taken as a euphemism for dying itself. Consider that 'son of X' can mean 'aspect of X' when applied to gods that are somewhat similar.

It has been suggested, also by God Learned types, that Vadrus and Humakt are 'the same'. Funny how you never see them both in the same place, eh?
