I'll try and sumarise.
Greg drew a map of the relationship between the various worlds and
otherworlds of Glorantha. It goes something like this (fixed space

[Transcendent Realm(s)]
^ ^ ^ | | |
^ ^ ^ | | | ------ Glorantha ------ ^ | Underworld
There are more connections than shown, for example a connection from
the
Underworld to the Transcendent Realm. Also, It is unclear whether
there
is a single transcendent world, or several different ones depending
on how
you get there.
Greg introducted the concept of 'Short Worlds', which are like the
Sorcery,
Theist and Animist otherworlds, but lack a connection to the
transcendent
world (and are limited - hence 'short). Dream worlds are examples of
short
worlds, although apparently one sect of eastern mystics do apparently
use
their dream worlds as a route to transcendence.
One example of a short world that Greg seemed to like (*modest
cough*) was
the otherworld of a manufactured god such as Zistor. Short worlds can
be
usefull hiding places or refuges, and might contain remnants of lost
empires from previous ages. Perhaps Brithos was removed to a short
world?
As a result it would not be accessible from 'other' otherworlds.
It was pointed out that this terminology isn't strictly necessery, but I think it's usefull to draw a deistinction between otherworlds with a transcendent aspect and those without.
