I’m trying to know more about the Third Eye Blue people, but I have found little material about them (probably there are sources that I don’t know). I would like to know your ideas and your caracterization of them in your campaigns. I have tried to imagine something about their mythic story and their culture, so perhaps you may enlighten me, improving or completely destroying this version if you are able to read my awful spanglish:

The Third Eye Blue people was originated among the herders in Tastolar highlands in the mythic ages. The First Ancestor received the First Metallurgy Revelation after the fall of a tin meteor. First Ancestor mixed tin with copper to create the Statue of the Bronze God (Gustbran?)

The Tastolar men founded a civilization centered in Oral-Ta and they extended their power for all Fronela (or that is the legend). They fought the hsunchen easily with their bronze weapons and armor, but they found powerful inhuman enemies: the Winter Forest elves and the horrible trolls of Valind’s Glacier and the Black Forest. For defeating their enemies, the Second Ancestor pilgrimed to the Nidan Mountains and in his quest he received the Second Metallurgy Revelation. He stole mostali secrets and awoke his Third Blue Eye in his forehead.

The Third Eye Blue is a magical talisman that permits the apprentice to understand the true nature of metals. Since then, Third Eye Blue tribe are a sorcerous people, but they practice a strange form of sorcery (non-written grimoires?). However, they are fond to use mixed magics (theism or spirit magic alongside with sorcery).

The angry mostali destroyed Tastolar’s civilization in the Fourth Action age, but the survivors were organized in small familiar groups that travel through Fronela trading with wonderful metal objects. It is said that, in that moment, Third Ancestor received the Third Metallurgy Revelation. The content of this revelation is unknown, but some Akem alchemists have strange theories about it.

Most Third Eye Blue people live in small itinerant patriarcal communities, but there are some more established families after the Syndic Ban. Many men are metalworkers and the majority of the women herd reindeers or goats. They are also peddlers and wandering musicians, male or female. Some women (drabardi) are able to read the fortune to the foreigners.

They recognize the Invisible God (Del) and a great number of spirits and deities. Their religion is found mixed with that of the malkioni of the places that they travel through, but they do not always attend regularly to the religious services imposed by the Abiding Book.

They are seen in many places with distrust, because they are always foreigners and they have distinct customs, but everybody recognizes their metal mastery and buy their tools, weapons, armor and jewelry.

There are many stories that relate the Third Eye Blue people with Hrestol’s Martyrdom in Sog. Some of them tell that they made the impious chains used in his execution, but there are also stories about third eye blue people trying to save the Prophet.

It is said that in Talastar Mountains, still under the Syndic Ban, there is a strange big statue made of bronze with terrible powers.

Regards and thanks,

Antonio
