Please be careful when you want to induce Greg or someone's allergy, for "Mysticism" is very ambiguous, vague word simply in English. In Gloranthan worldview once and forall derived from gamerule term, Greg abandoned / lost / stopped to write about it after HW, for he stated Orthodox Mysticism is only true MYSTICISM.

In Greg's taxonomy, I suppose Orthodox Mysticism is perfectly for hermits secluded from secular / active life for Greg highly regards Raja Yoga practice, if I can explain it extremely simplified form, it doesn't explain anything about relation of "Me (purusha)" and "Others (prakriti)" according to the Ancient Indian Philosophy. It's purpose and object is stop practitioners mind and help reaching to moksa. And I might equate purusha with each mystics, prakriti with Middle World and otherworlds.

So, most of RW mysticism which intend to use their "mystical power" to help other non-enlightened, are failed mysticism. (As ShangHsa or Ingolf?)

<<mysticism noun
1. a. Immediate consciousness of the transcendent or ultimate reality or God. b. The experience of such communion as described by mystics. 2. A belief in the existence of realities beyond perceptual or intellectual apprehension that are central to being and directly accessible by subjective experience.
3. Vague, groundless speculation.>>

Yes, but I don't know what you mean when you write this term Mysticism, again, this is very vague word. If you don't want to say simply about Magic without Otherworlds, this is innate magic talents, not mysticism in Greg's vocabulary.

Do nothing (Meditation?) -> Do actively doesn't explain anything about inner turmoil of its practitioners.

If I can induce my heretical thoughts, such school warriors exist in Kralorela, as some kind of people who have got power from shortworld (as Uroxi? or Sairdite Dogworshippers), or from Draconic Enigmatic-Absurd-Paradoxical Energy, and I avoid to use the term mysticism for Greg doesn't like usage of this word, at least in clumsily.

"About Innate Magic-users or Selfrock teaching users, they are still slaves of their stones, foci or landscape entities, etc.... So they are not enlightened." Emperor Godunya.
