Unfortunately not. There is a reference in the timeline to the Cradle. There is
also a reference to "'Garrath Sharpsword'" disappearing immediately afterwards.
The Troubled Waters scenario package takes place between 1617 and 1619 (just
before the invasion of Karse). Maybe they are going to feature the cradle later
on? If only the Pavis boxed set was still available!

I've just started to read Troubled Waters in detail, it looks very good so far.

Thanks for posting the errata (it will save me a stamp!). I have a few problems
with the errata themselves, though. They differ slightly from the original
errata printed in Heroes. Also, the U.K. Games Workshop editions confuse the
issue by having some rule changes from the U.S. Avalon Hill editions (mostly
consistent with the errata). I do have a number of queries about the armour
errata though.

I'm not sure this makes sense ... padding should stop blunt weapons, but be
worse against pointed weapons. Blunt, heavy weapons should be better at causing
damage through hard armour. Historically, the pattern of weapon use reflected
this. Heavy maces came in to bash through heavy plate. When gunpowder came in,
people wore little or no armour and favoured lighter thrusting or cutting
weapons such as the rapier or sabre. I preferred the old crush/slash/impale
rules, crude as they were.

1. This clears up the loophole that gave an advantage to wearing cuir bouilli
over ringmail (eight points, but considerably lighter than plate). Personally,
I don't think that this should be forbidden, it should merely result in a
bigger ENC penalty for the bulk and lack of mobility it affords.

2. Shouldn't 1 point soft leather be exempt from these rules (7.0 points ENC
for one point padding seems a little steep!)? I would argue that most hard
armour would include padding or be worn with padded clothing for comfort.

Apologies in advance for any sloppy thinking, or rehashing any old arguments
about rule changes.

Whilst on the road to Pavis from Garhound I heard two birds talking in a Date
Palm. The first asked

"In a time of heroes, who will be the heroes' champion?"

To which the other replied

"The heroes' champion is the man who has nothing, not even life."
