Message-ID: <9307211529.AA02725@sfsuvax1.sfsu.edu> Date: 21 Jul 93 01:29:03 GMT X-RQ-ID: 1314 The grapevine has whispered that Ken Rolston is no longer employed directly at Avalon Hill as Rune Czar. Appearanly, he got tired of doing extensive rewrites and playtesting of the RQ material. Sources say that he is now the freelance editor for RQ. So, if you're going to send something in, make sure that it is a complete manuscript. The product line will be continuing... Other rumor: Dragon Pass is no officially out of print. The French company Oriflam wants to do a new version, which might be a go. If they do, it will be a while before it sees print in the states. There is also talk of a new edition of Nomad Gods, but this even farther off. --------------------- From: jjm@zycor.lgc.com (johnjmedway) Subject: Food, Drugs and 'doing lines' Message-ID: <9307211832.AA04993@hp0.zycor.lgc.com> Date: 21 Jul 93 18:32:00 GMT X-RQ-ID: 1315 From: carlf@panix.com (Carl Fink) >> Subject: Eating Lunars >> X-RQ-ID: 1294 >> >> John Medway writes: >> >> >Have you ever gotten the idea that Lunars have eating problems? >> >One Tarshite king choked to death on a 'surfeit of river squid and >> >honeyed clams, dusted with the powder of the black poppy'. >> >Euglyptus the Fat, one-time governor in Boldhome choked to death >> >on a 'surfeit of sugared eels'. >> >> Um, John, have you ever heard the expression "Dart War"? Why do I see this being reported as news, by someone nervously looking side to side, hoping his fast-talk skill roll worked. ( Kind of like 'Gorbochev is on vacation. Yeah, that's it. On vacation...'. ) Related note: Is 'powder of the black poppy' a seasoning, or a drug? What else, besides hazia, is used by any of these cultures? --------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: JARDINE@RMCS.CRANFIELD.AC.UK >> Subject: Too Long Lines Look, Ma, only 80 characters............................................... --------------------------------------------------------------------------- | john_medway@zycor.lgc.com | Landmark Graphics Corp | 512.292.2325 | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------- From: faber@socrates.umd.edu (Christopher A.
