Greg Fried here.

OK, things have been pretty sleepy recently, so I have a couple of lame
questions I thought I'd pass by you all.

1) Do any campaigns out there allow Chalana Arroy cultists to use weapons in
combat? In the Chaosium publications, CA cultists often have staff skills,
but I assume this is purely for parrying attacks.

2) What does your campaign charge for the identification of magical items?
My players do not have the means to identify items they come across, and I
am not sure what the cost of this should be.

Ask him yourself. I carry no special privileges in
this regard. He answers to enthusiasts first and
family second when it concerns his creations - as it
        should be.

Hi can someone send me Adam's RQ files? He sent them to me but my site
deleted parts of the file before I could move them.

I would like to get the ascii/tarred/compressed version.
I can receive it as one large uuencoded file so you don't need to break it
up.

Thanks!
Jeff

Ehm.

Are you sure? Aren't the two statements you make above
contradictory?

Thanks for letting me know. Also is there a way that I can get a net module
or two? I am new to RQ and would like to see what other people do. Also
what is the suggested way of converting modules from AD&D to RQ?

Ciao Ciao

REgarding J Stafford's coment that GS tuned down a "generous offer"
to Glorantha

This is not the story I heard some years ago from GS himself. Along
with some entertaining and slightly creepy stories of the
synchornicities involved in dealing with the script writer, GS told
all aobut the ALREADY OPTIONED/SOLD rights to the RuneQuest movie.
That project died for lack of producer interest, but Stafford cashed
the check long ago.
His description of the idea was "Wizard of Oz for the 80's" or some
such, but it sounded a lot more like Time Bandits to me.

Interest in my Rune Deck has so far been underwhelming. ONly a few
people asked to see it in the Digest, so I'm not going to send it any
time soon. The text (currently in MORE II format on a mac) would
require extenisve massaging into ASCII.

bye.

"What, are you joking? In the last year I've marched across Dorastor
and met Ralzakark the Broo King, raided Than-Oba and helped kill one of
its high priests, Explored the Tunnelled Hills *and* the Plateau of
Statues, been treated to dinner by a giant assemblage of Boggles from
the God Time, been personally cursed by the God of Doom, raided a God
Learner ruin, and personally fought a Cacodemon in hand-to-hand combat.
Now I'm supposed to be scared because a man is charging me on horseback
with a *lance*?"

--my character, while everyone else prepared to deal with the cavalry
charge.
