Michelle Ringo complains about the Hrestoli/Rokari:

I wrote some of this based on your original message (I think the Digest is
automated, so messages can't be retracted)...

Half the players in my Ralios game are women. One's a long-time gamer, so
maybe she's just weird. Two are casual gamers, but have really gotten into
their characters who worship Vinga the Adventuress (that Ralian Vinga
worshippers spike their hair with lime seems to add to the appeal).

As documented in "King of Sartar," about 15% of Orlanthi men and women take
the non-traditional role (e.g. men who weave, women warriors). The Orlanthi
even elect women kings. To me, this is one way that Orlanthi culture is
more appealing than Malkioni culture, and why I base my campaign in East
Ralios rather than Safelster. I could have chosen the Lunar Empire, where a
sizable percent of the pantheon is female heroes who became gods. But
Glorantha has all sorts of cultures, each with their own advantages and
disadvantages. If they were all "nice" I'd find the world less realistic.

I'd like to hear more of your thoughts on this. I think the hobby is really
bad about drawing in women, with its often exploitive cover art, emphasis
on rules, and concentration on violent stories (well, my women players do
seem to enjoy a little hack & slash).

It is possible that the official errata have already been published
cathcing these matters, and if so I would appreciate hearing about it.
Here are my questions: in Shadows on the Borderland, GM reference
pullout page 9, the figures for head number 3, unaligned sorceror Drusi
Follum, as to divine magic, skills and languages are exact duplicates
of the figures for head number 7, Yanafils Tarnils sword Harnor Revsen.
Since I assume that the sorceror did not have truesword, etc., this is
obviously an error. Are the correct stats available. Also on page 46
of the same pack, it says that the broo Woroshi has to wait for a
talisman to protect him from mad head ghosts. But he is listed as an
Atyar initiate and should therefore have the blemish which should protect
him from the ghosts. Finally, in the final confrontation in Strangers
in Prax, it is stated on page 46 that "the magicians cannot dip into
their own MP for defense or attack (Aziok needs it), so they must rely
on stored MP." (correction that is page 89) But in the description
of the characters on page 96, after listing their stored MP, the text reads:
"These MP have been used at the start of any melee, leaving only their own
MP>" Does that mean that they can cast NO spells? Please advise!
Thanks: Jim Chapin
