It was a very extreme response, and I apologise for any implications of personal responsibility. I should have said 'write half the bulk of the text myself' for a start. Undoubtedly the simple half, but nonetheless, I have no doubt that our group would need, at the very least, a one-line (and that's all it would take, a single line of text) suggestion of how each Ability and Affinity could be used. Not as a limit on choice, but as guidelines. Look at this list - practically every long thread has been about problems with rules ambiguity, incompleteness, or vagueness, even from individuals with access to more of the rules than are generally available to download. And now we learn the published rules won't even clear these up. I have no doubt I'll buy Hero Wars, but so far it's just not the system I wanted.
