who is starting the fight

hello im new to this and have couple of quetions can some one help?? 1.when battle starts how do you determine the first strike?? 2.when you whin i a extended contest for exemple 10 ap and you have the skill of 20 and your ap are all ready 20 do you get the extra ap too?? 3.i would be very peased if some one could write an example of a fight ( whit the ap loss and other significant stuff ) from start till end??
