        Yes, as armor gives handicap (heavy clothes 1, leather 2, metal 4, add 1 for shield).

        Yes, although I'm not sure if it's an edge or a modifier. I suppose it'd depend on how you describe your use of the ability. Probably things such as Agile should give modifiers while Strong gives edges.
