Well, not a full-sized silverback, I'll grant you. A more normal-sized adult gorilla (female or subordinate male) is only about troll-sized, I believe.

Remember that double mastery is clan champion level; the best person out of a group of 1000 quarrelsome Heortlings at ass-kicking - which isn't to say there won't be other double-mastery types in a clan, but they'll specialise in farming, hunting, etc. In a world with as much magic as Glorantha, I think that's pretty potent. Morden has only two masteries in his best abilities, but look at what he's capable of in the story (of course, he has enough support to boost him a mastery or so, but even so, he's pretty impressive).
