That is a very neat summary. Thank you for producing it! It really helps clarify the difference between level-of-ability (which is quantified in the ability rating) and impressiveness-of-the-thing-your-ability-relates-to (which is not).

And, of course, if you might *sometimes* (GM call) have to roll your ability rating vs. the power of the thing you're trying to interact with to get it to do anything... there's a solution in sight. No? (Yeah, hand out +20s lavishly for appropriate actions and picking the right time and place, just as you would in a HQ ritual -- asking the King for a boon on the day he usually grants boons is worth a goodly plus to your relationship rating, rolled vs. his "Kingliness" rating of 10w3 or so...
