Which exactly matches one of the standard tactics of highly mobile forces since time immemorial--the "false flight." Many of the asian nomads seemed to have used this as a standard tactic from what I've read, and there are plenty of other cases of the same thing happening. I'm sure Gloranthan peoples would be no less quick to use this tactic. I think it is one of the nice touches of Hero Wars that it can integrate this seamlessly into a contest!
You can apply the same concept in other contests, too. If you are loosing a legal argument, but can divert it into a an exchange of insults, you might have a chance to get back to the legal arguments when your opponent is all flustered and disorganized, etc.
