I've wondered about that too... As we still do't have anything in the rules to govern the resistance to summoning either, the whole use of daimones is somewhat shrouded in mist.
However, given that summoning a daimone is a ritual, it's likely that the usual 10 minutes or so won't do for most daimones (who probably are needed for some quite substantial task, unlikely to be performed right where the summoning was, unless the summoning is easier than it looks and can be performed ad hoc), either they must remain until the task is performed, or you have to find a way to keep them - like cementing them as an ally.
