On page 22 of Barbarian Adventures in the Alternatives to Orlanth
Box, it says that Orlanth worshippers who convert to Doburdan get to
retain their full ability rating in the Storm affinity, although
devotees do not retain any of their feats. I think this idea should
be extended to other cults, particularly to those comprising the
Seven Mothers, which are the main proselytizing cults for the Lunar
way. For example, a Lhankor Mhy worshipper would retain his Literacy
affinity rating when converting to Irripi Ontor. One problem with
this is that not all the cults have the same affinities as their
rough equivalents. The Hu subcult of Humakt doesn't have a Combat
affinity like Yanafal Tarnils, instead it has Sword Combat. Likewise
none of Ernalda the Healer's affinities seem to match Deezola's.
Some ways to get around this might be to allow any affinity to
transfer if it has at least one word in common with the other (Sword
Combat to Combat, as they both have the word "Combat") or when the
two affinities share at least one feat (both Deezola's Heal body and
Chalana Arroy's Heal Wound have the Heal Injury feat.)
