There was an earlier draft that had some interesting suggestions for archery including cover, transfering APs and what happens when you move to Close Combat. NDA precludes me from discussing them on an open forum and they would need updating to the current rules, but IMO Issaries might want to take another look at updating them for Heroquest as they do address a number of the concerns people raise about archery.
