shouldn't it be ^ x 2 = AP?
at least the augmentation chart in the [soon to be dated] HW-rule book
gives you this exchange rate for target number bonuses and edges.
on the other hand, hurt are at 7 AP for 1 TN loss...hmmm...
personally I'll give edges x 2 a try. this way, Joe "Orlanthi" Average will be boosted by additional 12 AP for wearing "85%" armour and a normal sword, IIRC.
