Personally I'd keep it mysterious. Krarsht has many tentacles, they in turn have many tentacles, some people say that every Krarshtkid is a tiny part of Krarsht herself. Perhaps it was Krarsht, the maw at the centre of her webs of deception, perhaps her power is so dissipated into minions or so concentrated on deception and guile that she herself is just about at "survivable by disciples with HP to burn" levels of power when directly confronted. Let the players theorise and wonder, if they are anything like the players I know they will love it.
