There was a small scale epidemic in my HW campaign a while back. The party got hold of a healing tonic from an apothecary that owed them a favour, then boosted it using a Lunary blessing ceremony (one of them is a priestess of Natha). I was running the epidemic as an extended contest, with one round each day. I modeled the tonic as giving an augment that halves each day after it's administered, and the ritual as an enchantment using the basic rules to give an additional augment.
