Yes, that's right. For some games it might not even be an issue -
"OK it's 5 years after last week's adventure" without any
particular improvement beyond the normal spending of HP, for others,
the idea of leaping forward in time is precisely to get to the
period when the PC's are in positions of power, with the abilities
to back it up
"In the intervening years you rise to become respected members of
your clan/tribe/bloodline/village etc - add 3 points to your
Homeland Keyword, 2 to your Occupation Keyword, 1 to Magic, and have
6 HP to spend on Relationships or followers"
