IMO No. One can cast spells to last for years and years which would make the need to look at grimoires impractical. Likewise if looking at the page was necessary then one could not cast another spell from a grimoire so long as the first was active. Grimoires then are a means of summoning the spell into existence, not the means to keep them going.
