There are certainly some things that you can't "win" against with normal means - the "archer at the top of a high wall vrs a swordsman on the ground", frex. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and accept the fact that the heroes can't jump all the way to the top of Kero Fin. Ghosts are meant to be tough - there's a *reason* there are specialists to deal with them.

You can always turn those ghosts into something else if there aren't the appropriate people in your heroband (you don't want the centerpiece of the scenario to be "So you head back to town to pick up a humakti, who slays the ghosts handily. He charges you 100 lunars...").
