Hmmm. A clan outer-ring/troubleshooters is a very good starting place for a campaign. I would hesitate to say that it is 'typical' but I would think that its going to be one of the more likely ones (its what I'm doing m'self).

As to the rules being hard to grasp, one should work one step at a time. I do believe, however, that more examples of play should have beenprovided (and will be provided on the HW website).

My group is mostly newcomers to Glorantha, with a few neophyte RPGers and they seem to be getting along with the game pretty well. Everyone helps everyone else over the roughspots... I don't know if this is typical, however but it works for us.
