Not in the Core Book - we have a short "Glorantha Appendix" that (re)introduces you to the Gloranthan Runes and the basic Gloranthan magic package. Later books will be dealing with heroquests - for example, the Sartar Book will contain a chapter on Orlanthi heroquesting, the Pavis Book will contain a heroquesting scenario, and so on.
