I'd imagine it's something along those lines, yes. By 'setting issue' I didn't mean "why don't common religions exist any more?" but that I'm not exactly sure how they're described these days. (Since Dormal and Donandar, to give two well-known examples, clearly do exist in some form). Not that it's going to be the same answer for every common religion one might be able to think of, of course.
