I grant you that I can't think of any definitive examples of theist cults with the Man rune. But I'd also be surprised if it were rare for Daka Fal initiates to have the Man rune, or for runes to be irrelevant to animist magic (even if they're used differently).

Surely, whatever is true about Man, there are a number of examples of the Beast and Plant runes granting powers? Uralda, for instance.
