I believe so. Based on my understanding of the HQ1 rules (which I don't have to hand, so no quotes, no page numbers (and no guarantees)...)

A Spell is "something you know", and is cast by using the spell to manifest powers from the essence planes in the normal world. You generally require some form of talisman to act as a link to the "spell node". When an adept learns a new spell, they create a link between the spell node and their talisman, this allows them to use the spell to tap the node for power. A grimoire also exists as a node on the essence planes, and itself links to the various spell nodes for the spells contained within. When an adept learns a grimoire, they create a link between their Phyiscal copy of the work and the "grimoire node" (This is why an Adept can augment his spell with the grimoire, or vice versa - they are linking to the spell node by two separate links)
