I'm not sure what point you're making here, but I'd say that it's always possible you'll like it more than you thought you would, and have discovered something new you want to try again. At other times, of course, you'll find you like it less than you thought you would, and know to avoid it in future. (This happened to me with HQ2, and with some other system I tried recently, that unfortunately I can't recall the name of). This is part of the point of convention games, IMO.
