I agree with this sentiment to some extent. Instantanous, "beam me up scotty" type teleport is a bit sciffy. I much prefer a move very very quickly approach (faster than the eye can see, like the wind, etc), but also note that this could be along a 'secret path' down a 'hidden way' through an 'unseen gate' or some other poetic justification that can be ruled out where it isn't approriate; you may or may not know the secret path out of the underground cavern to follow David's example.
