I let the Yinkini gain an edge where he would not have had one if he uses his 'Grow Teeth and Claws' feat. The level of the edge depends on the success. This is one of the few cases where I let a theistic feat gain an edge rather than an augment.

Paralyzing bite could be used AFTER the Yinkini has done his scream, leap, biterollrollrollbitesnarl thing.

At that point, I would be willing to let the Yinkini treat it as a *magical* attack -- I might do it as an unrelated action causing an all or nothing result (Use a Simple Contest) or if the hero wants, a simple AP bid that would resist against Tough rather than Close Combat....

We've been using that feat for a while. Off the top of my flat little head, I can think of a few ways we've used it....

... one shot kills on minor things like deer and hare and one unfortunate, wounded guard who was trying to escape -- it combines well with Mile Throw. In that case it was used to administer a lethal Parting Shot.

A regular augment in combat that provides more skill and AP when in ranged combat.

Most ranged combats are AP exchanges that turn into free-for-alls as there's no fixed opposition. (You eight guys, shot that crazy Vingan.... I'll hit the guy in the robes.)

Mile Throw Javilin is more interesting, I think and probalby more flexible. We let it literally let you toss that far. No range penalties for normal range and treat the spear toss like a ranged "magical" attack -- its still a ranged attack but we treat the modifiers like a magic one as they are more forgiving. Our vingan uses it as either an augment for her javelins OR as an enhancement that lets her ignore range penalties as above.

Still trying to work otu how the Six Javelin Feat would work. =)
