Ah, but the FEEL and LOOK of the thing is important. The fights happen fast, they flow. Unlike, say, spending 5-10 minutes to figure out if I hit someome with a pike. And no, the usage is cinematic, if one checks the Websters... Or even Oxford for that matter.
