I suppose I do pretty much think like that. I don't like to stretch the ability curve as far as the current HW canon seems to suggest. Harrek, Harlstar, the Crimson Emperor, etc are still as awesome compared to the regular folk, or maybe more.

I like to maintain the old "hot sand in the sandals" feel of being there, as opposed to the whole of Glorantha feeling like one is on the hero plane, whith bright colors and superhuman denizens.

Then again I like the world of myth and everyday magics to be ever present. I don't think there's a single dieroll in my game where I as a GM don't take into account mythic and magical factors.

But yes. In my campaign if somebody does indeed run faster than an arrow, then it's a feat or a spell, or some innate magical ability. Not just that you have been practising running really fast for the last 10 years.

Ok. That's good. It can still happen, even in my Glorantha, but I like to draw a finer line between the mundane and the fantastic. I draw my inspiration from ancient greek, Egypt, pre Viking Scandinavia, and other ancient world sourses. I'm trying to capture the way those people saw the world, and for that I need the mundane to feel real. It get's harder to do if the mundane world suddenly has elements of super hero fiction.
