And I too appologise for laying the bait and reeling you in! I do have sympathy with your POV. For my own interests, I like the non-specificity of HW, but I do appreciate that it is a bit of a brick wall for Gloranthan or RPG newbies.
Greg said at C2K that the two words in Hero Wars of which he was most proud were ... dramatic pause ... "Sunset Leap", so it's no accident that the game is the way it is.
