I have to say, this is one thing that I admire most about the game; having to deal with spell ranges, levels of effect, etc., is an artifact of tabletop miniatures rules, which I have always found to be both stifling to my creativity and injurious to my suspension of disbelief, as well as just plain distracting. Having to deal with this new style of gaming is both exciting and intimidating; every RPG I've ever played has had scads of limitations, regulations, and permutations (I was on a rhyming roll there).  I have not played HW or seen it played, but I'm looking forward to it.
