If you think of it as spiritual warfare yes. Luke may have mastered the Lightsaber, but if he cannot learn to transcend hate, he will fall to the dark side. So when he goes up against Darth, he is full of rage and hate and cannot defeat his opponent.
If you are strong in your god, strike with his holy spear/flaming
sword.
If you are a warrior who beleives only in cold bronze, then trust in
that (though that kind of thinking will not get you far in Glorantha)
I seem to be inclining more to the Roderick/Stafford interpretation of feats, rather than the old RQ, simulationist idea.
If you want a little augment to your swordcraft, augment it.
If you dare invoke the naked power of the god, dare. It could have significant roleplay/story effects
