If you haven't done it already, I'd suggest doing what Jeff suggested and subscribing to the other HeroWars list at egroups, at that is more focussed on world background rather than rules stuff.
Some other good (print) sources for you:
Glorantha: Introduction to the Hero Wars (the current world book for Glorantha)
The Rough Guide to Glamour (published by the Reaching Moon Megacorp, an
"unofficial" guide to the Lunar capital. I think Orc's Nest still has a copy or
two).
Tales of the Reaching Moon no 16 was a Lunar special (I don't know if the
Reaching Moon Megacorp still has back issues of this one, though).
Of course, you could always take a quick look at them and see whether any of them fit the bill before splashing out the cash next time you see me.
