IMO, a character with Large 10w2 would be a very big person; perhaps 7-8' tall. BUT, that really only requires Large 5w. The extra 5w would reveal the hero's ability to use his size to best effect. If you're 7' tall but don't realise how intimidating it is then what's the use?
