Ooops. This was the one I meant to reply to. Yes, this is a very good solution, letting the hero go off on a long and dangerous heroquest to try to gain some personal power and links back to Eritha in her original form.

This probably also explains a lot about the Paps. Unlike elsewhere, much of the magic and religion of Prax seems to derive from power-points which are relics of the bygone, pre-Darkness time.

Of course, it might be difficult to increase the abilities one`s gained from the Paps, especially elsewhere. If they weren`t difficult to get or hard to maintain, they`d be common. The Praxians, being a remarkably practical folk, go with what works. A PC Hero is less practical and hard-headed about such things, I find...
