Seeing yourself at the cuaseway

Did any other Brits see a BBC2 program about finds at an iron age causeway last night (27mar2002)? Fantastic, I thought.

There was some great stuff about what technology the iron age folks in England might have used to drive the piles supporting the causeway.

Also, somebody pointed out that an iron age person would rarely see their own reflection except in water. Hence looking at your reflection in water might have been a key part of their ritual life. Apparently they made many offerings by placing (not throwing) valuable onbjects into rivers and the like.

Reality can make for excellent background material and generate nice ideas for episodes.....
