I read this as saying Roland didn't want Heroquest to contain rule changes that meant we either needed to errata every writeup in TR/ST or buy new "HQ" editions in order to play Heortling Initiates/devotees.
I would agree with Roland that anything Issaries can do to help those of us planning on running HW demos in the near future (Dudley Bug Ball at the start of May in my case...) to run HQ demos instead would be extremely useful....
