Three player-knights did die fighting for Lot. At Terrabil, all fell facing Arthur's decisive final onslaught, injured past the point where even a critical First Aid would restore them to life. Imagine the knights' surprise when it was revealed that the white light into which they felt themselves drawn turned out to be the most miniscule glimmer of sunlight peeking through a loose stitch in the top of the great pavilion which Arthur had erected to shelter the many wounded of the night before. Regardless of the conjectures posed by the various players as to the source of this miracle, it earned all three rather hefty Love (God) Passions.
Ain't it grand when "deus ex machina" gamemaster intervention is supported by canon? ;)
